MSP430FR50431: CH0 / CH1 interface protection

Part Number: MSP430FR50431

We are encountering issues when connecting the board to the water pipe,
specifically on the CH0_IN / CH0_OUT and CH1_IN / CH1_OUT connections.
Occasionally, during the connection process, the memory gets corrupted (data corruption), and the device freezes until it is erased and re-programmed.

1: Have you encountered a similar phenomenon with any of your customers?
2: In order not to affect the ultrasonic signal, is it possible  to add an additionally  small series resistor close to the connector? (and a protection Diode  to GND).
3: Is this recommended by TI?
4: Do you have a recommendation for a protection diode for this interface?

Attached is a schematic of the current connections according to your EVM.

Thank you in advance.TI_Analog IF.pdf
