MSPM0L2228: re-calibration of SYSOSC

Hi,
customer wants to calibrate the SYSCLK of each device in production to get higher accuracy over temperature and lifetime than listet in the datasheet.
- is this possible?
- do we have an example or app note?
- do we have any graphs or distribution curves of the SYSCLK?

Hi，

Sorry we are not able to implement a higher accuracy than datasheet. If a high accuracy is needed for customer's application (such as CAN/LIN use case) which could not be met by datasheet spec, we recommend more to add an external HFXT crystal as clock source.

Sorry for late reply.

I think we could. Because the internal oscillator frequency has both offset error and thermal shift error. Even we could trim the offset frequency in production (actually the trim for device oscillator is also not open to customer), the oscillator frequency could still change according to temperature, and each device have be different on the shift feature.

just to make it clear. Customer wants to calibrate the oscillator in his production (not in TI ones).
Maybe there is also a way to re-calibrate during operation with temperature sensing.

Sorry I'm not so understanding the purpose of "calibrate the oscillator in his production".

Could I know what is the input and the output from MSPM0 side, is it used to calibrate the frequency of any other external oscillator?
