MSPM0H3216: I2C examples in the SDK are not working

Team,

One of my customer reported that the I2C examples on MSPM0H series do not function as intended on the launchpad. On the logic analyser the line stays high permanently and no data or clock is transferred. All examples with controller/target , polling/interrupt mode behave the same.

Can you please test and share your results?

Hello Madhurya,

In fact, all the demo in SDK has been tested and verified before the release.

It seems so strange that "On the logic analyser the line stays high permanently and no data or clock is transferred". Please check your hardware connection, and enter debug mode to debug the code to check where the code is stuck?

Hi Janz,

the hardware was checked multiple times. there are no loose connection as gpio toggles can be observed on oscilloscope perfectly fine.

only when the example code is run the required I2C bit and clock transfers are not observed.

the software moves to Rx routine and waits there after completion of Tx routine.

Did you remove the jumper on J9? According to Launchpad User Guide (SLAU951) Table 2-1, J9 connects PA30 (SDA) to an LED.
