How to create a MIDI controller with the MSP430 Launch Pad

Hello world,

I want to create a joystick-based MIDI controller to control my synthesizers or my music assisted by computer softwares (eg. Ableton).

Do you have any advices about some MIDI libraries to help me to program the microcontroller ?

    The only thing I remember about MIDI is that it uses 32768Bd serial connection adn TTL levels rather than the typical COM baudrates and RS232 signal levels. And the commandset was rather simple.
    However, I used MIDI last time when I controlled my MIDI expander with the good old C64 some 20 years ago.
