We are facing a serious issue with the MSP-430 FET Programmer, due to which our development/testing activity is getting impacted. We kindly request your urgent support to help resolve this issue at the earliest.
Issue Details:
- The MSP-430 FET Programmer is not getting detected properly.
- The green power LED turns ON only for a few seconds and then turns OFF.
- The USB COM port is not detected in Device Manager.
- In some cases, when the green LED remains ON, the target device gets detected temporarily, but during flashing it shows the error:
“Error connecting to the target: Unknown device”
Troubleshooting already performed from our side:
- Tested using the UNIFLASH Tool
- Tested on another target board
- Tested on another PC/system
The issue remains exactly the same in all cases, which indicates the programmer unit itself may be faulty.
We sincerely request you to kindly review this case on priority and advise:
- Any additional troubleshooting steps
- Whether the unit is defective
