This is a generic question regarding the MSPm0G3107
I want to implement Secure boot for the application software. How can i achieve this, especially since the MSPM0g3107 doesn't support CSC and keystore.

Configuring the static write protection for a set of sectors and implement a custom validation software is one approach, but i wanted to know if any other methods are possible. (I want to keep the possibility of updating this validation software via BSL)

Hi Jopaul,

Actually even in MSPM0G3107, a simplified secure boot solution is implemented in Boot Image Manager. As you said, MSPM0G3107 does not have CSC and keystore, as well as firmware, so it is unable to protect AES key from read and could not configure read protected flash region.

But it could support a software based SHA+ECDSA algorithm to verify signature of updated firmware. More details about this solution could also be found in Cybersecurity Enablers in MSPM0 MCUs (Rev. A.
