LP-MSPM0L2228: SPI peripheral example code - wrong responses

Part Number: LP-MSPM0L2228

Hello team,

both with SPI peripheral (FreeRTOS) as well as SPI echo interrupt examples (NoRTOS), I saw that the Peripheral does not respond correctly to the Central.

This is not always the case and sometimes Nibbles are correct, so only single bits are wrong.

Could you try it on your boards to determine if this is a code or a board issue?

Phase 0 & Polarity 0, LSB

SDK version 2.10.00.04

Echo Interrupt:

SPI Peripheral (Peripheral should send 0xFE always)

  • Hello team,

    friendly reminder.

    Best regards,

    Til

  • Hi Til,

The SPI Echo example is MSB first, not LSB. Ensure that you have a shared ground between your LaunchPads and Saleae.

I did not observe any problems with this example:

Running the FreeRTOS example should not always return 0xFE. The example sends 10 messages between the controller and peripheral that say "Hello from controller, msg#: x", where x is the count starting from 0 and ending at 9. This example is also with MSB first, not LSB.

I would suggest reading the README file for configuring pin connections, etc.

    Best,

    Owen

  • Thanks,

could you please share the .SAL so I can compare the timing as well as run it for 100+ samples? Was this done on 2228?

    BR,

    Til

  • Hi Til,

I used two LP-MSPM0L2228 to run these examples.

I do not know what you mean by run 100+ samples. Do you mean press the button 100 times for the echo example?

Here are the .sal captures from my previous testing:

    Owen
