MSPM0G3107-Q1: PA1 PWM Function Missing Despite Datasheet Support

According to the M0G3107QPMRQ1 datasheet, PA1 supports PWM output through TIMA0 Channel 1 and TIMG8 Channel 0. However, when configuring the pin in the software (SysConfig), PA1 does not appear as an available timer/PWM pin, whereas PB26 is available for timer configuration. Could you clarify why PA1 cannot be configured for PWM despite the datasheet indicating that it supports these timer functions?

Hi,

What's your external hardware looks like? Are you using EVM or your own self board.

Please make sure there is an external pull up resistor for PA1 since PA1 is ODIO.

We are using our own board. We do not have an external pull-up resistor connected to this pin. Could this be the reason why the pin cannot be configured as a timer/PWM output, or is an external pull-up not required for timer functionality?

For Open-drain IO, the external pull-up resistor is necessary. Thanks!
