MSP430FR5969: Optimization Level Risk

Hello,

How much risk is there related to setting the optimization level to the max for my C++ project? Is it worth it to go with opt-level 4 or is leaving it at 3 or 2 enough. I wrote a Gpio library using constexpr and inlining to generate the minimal GPIO machine code which works at opt level 2 so I dont think I want to go lower than that.

Is the performance adequate?

Does it fit comfortably in the Flash?

(If this is a library to be used in other projects, space could be a concern in the future)

You might try some more aggressive optimizations to see how much improvement you get. If it does not improve things that much, you can revert back.
