MSP430FR2676: Using Internal Reference Capacitors for electrode capacitance measurement

Part Number: MSP430FR2676

Hi Team,

Posting on behalf of our customer

I am wanting to use the built-in internal reference capacitors of the MSP430FR2676 for absolute capacitance measurement for applications in wearable textiles. There is good information on how to calculate on this link (/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/166/2084.captivate_5F00_refcap.pdf ) but the link hardly mentions how to use the MAP_CAPT_enableRefCap() API and I couldn't find any documentation online either. I would appreciate help on setting using this API for my application.

Additionally, I was hoping you could explain the ∆ = (1/ + −1/) ∗ 100% equation. This isn't a "real" percentage calculation to my understanding, so I'm not sure why it can be used like so, unless under the surface i'm missing something.

Regards,

Danilo
