MSPM0G3107: MSPM0G3107 Application Runs Only During Debug Session

Part Number: MSPM0G3107

Dear TI Support Team,
I am working on MSPM0G3107 CAN application.
The application is working correctly when the debugger (XDS110) is connected. I can successfully flash the code, run the application, and observe CAN messages on BusMaster.
However, after disconnecting the debugger and powering the board independently, the application does not appear to run. No CAN messages are observed on BusMaster.
Current observations:
  • Code is programmed successfully through CCS/XDS110.
  • CAN communication is visible when running under debugger.
  • After removing the debugger and applying power to the board, CAN communication is not visible.
  • The same firmware image is being used in both cases.
Could you please help identify what might be causing the application to stop working in standalone mode and suggest any debugging steps to investigate this issue?AMT_PROJECT_V1.zip
  • Hi Swaleha,

After briefly looking through the .syscfg file, I noticed that PA18 is being used for an ADC channel. This pin is also the default GPIO BSL invocation pin.

What is likely happening is that if this pin is being pulled high, when the device boots it will invoke the bootloader. After 10 seconds, if no commands are received by the bootloader, it will enter a low power mode.

    Best,

    Owen
