MSPM0G3107: MSPM0G3107 Application Runs Only During Debug Session

Hi,

We are observing an issue where CAN data is received when the debugger is connected, but after removing the debugger and power cycling the board, CAN data is not received.

PA18 is not used in our current application code. Could you please suggest the required configuration or changes to resolve this issue?

    Hi Swaleha,

    In schematic, what is PA18 connection to the circuit? If no obvious issue on the schematic, I suggest you can try below method to debug the issue:

    1. disconnect the debugger and power cycle the board

    2. after CAN frame not response, then connect the debugger (without NRST pin)

    3. Using CCS to connect the device (don't load firmware, but only load the symbols) -> then users can debug where the MCU hangs and analyze the root cause.
