want to learn ez430-chronos programming

What is the best source for 101 education on ez430-chronos programming? 

Most videos that I have seen so far demo the final solution but do not show the steps to get there and deploy the custom code onto the ez430-chronos.

This is my first venture into embedded programming!

    The foundations of small microcontroller development are electronics and  (mostly 'C') programming - so they are certainly the start of your "101 education"...

    A basic understanding of computer architecture would also help...
