Adding buttons on RF2500

Hello.

We have a problem with adding a button on pin 2 on the target board.

How can we get the red led to blink when we push the new button?

    by software?
    Listen for the button to be pushed (requires additional pullup/pulldown resistor that pulls the pin in the opposite direction if the button is not pushed) and then do the neccessary steps in software to let the LED blink.
