Problems using UART while connected as end device in ZigBee network

Im using an MSP430F5438A with a CC2590 front end for a ZigBee application. In this application, we have a lot of UART and ZigBee communications happening and it seems as though when the radio is on, the UART doesn't work properly. Is there a way to get these two working together properly? I've ears maybe playing with the baud rate or the priority of events on the OSAL event processor might help to make the use of these two peripherals more efficient. Thanks, Matt
