Altium SCH/PCB Library for MSP430 parts

Howdy,

I've noticed that there are absolutely no Altium schematic/pcb libraries for the MSP430 so I started making one.

Since there are quite a few parts, I have selected just a few as the high priority targets. This is what I have so far:

CC430F613xRGC
MSP430F20x3-14
MSP430F20x3-16
MSP430F22x2-DA38
MSP430F22x4-DA38
MSP430F5438IPZ

I would be interested in any feedback if you notice anything that needs fixing.

Hi Zeke,

Thanks for sharing your efforts.

What version of Altium are you using? I'm guessing it's something more recent than what I'm using (Design Explorer DXP v7.3) since I can't open the library. Any way to save copies to an older version (like binary 5.0)? For example, I regularly save stuff in Protel 99 format (binary 4.0) for our vendors.

I am using Altium Summer 2009.

I'll see if I can figure out how to save it in an older version.

Okay, I think I've got it in binary 5 format. I think that is used by version 6 of altium.

Can someone check it out?

Sorry to take so long to provide some feedback. This time DXP doesn't complain about it being an unrecognized library type. It opens the library and shows just one component, that, when opened for editing, is empty. I get essentially the same results for both schlib and pcblib files.

Imported just fine and looks like the stuff is there. Not the parts I'm looking for so have not tried them.

How is your library coming along?

Can you please update links, and share with us your library?

It would be good to have some repository for already created symbols, so people could easily found them - Im willing to create it if someone wants to join me and help create symbols.
