Does anyone have info out there about when the "A" version of the 5xxx parts will be available? I have a product designed around the 5438 and really want to move to the A version......

On similiar note, does anyone at TI reading this have any info on the current "Black Hole" in terms of the availability of the 5xx parts? Digikey, Mouser and Newark all show "0" available with a delivery date of January!

The latest update schedule specifies RTM for this part in December. Samples should be avialable now (if not now then very soon).

Thanks 'Nightmare, but I was hoping Brandon would chime in with some inside knowledge. The '5438 non-A part has bug SYS8, but it was published only very recently. So recently, in fact, that it is newer than the most-recent errata sheet published for '5438A.

Brandon, do you know if SYS8 also applies to the '5438A?
