Hi,

MSP430F5438 has inbuilt RTC,but as you know there is a bug in the RTC module.

Actaully I tried to modify RTC register in the sample program of MSP-EXP430F5438

ATC board but I got ambiguous result..

Does this mean that ,inbuilt RTC can't be used in any application.

Does anyone has workaround related to F5xx RTC ?

I don't know how reliable the RTC feature is ..,I feel I should go for the software library....

Hi,

According to the user guide the Real-Time Clock(RTC) Registers like Year,Minute,Hour..etc

should remains unchanged even after reset, but when I checked by resetting MSP430F5438 through

CCE's Reset function ,the result was the RTC Register everything is getting zero.

I can I overcome this behaviour.Please let me know if there is any workaround.

Hi William,

I'm having issues with MSP430F5438 RTC accuracy. It seems to be 8 seconds fast / hour. Besides the calibration feature what else is there 8 seconds / fast is outside the ppm correction.
