EZ430-RF2500 with smartrf studio

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SIMPLICITI, CC2500

Hi guys,

I have problems with changing the RF settings of CC2500 on the MSP430 F2274 board. I try to change the register settings of the CC2500 from smartrf studio to achieve maximum RF performance. However, it seems no effect. Is it possible to modify the registers settings on the smartrf studio and export code out to simpliciTI settings so that I can realize some basic functions like data whitenning. If it's possible, then how to do it? If not, what are the other ways to realize such functions?  I am dying for the answer!  Really appreciate any help!

Sincerely

Pang Bo

  • I think the proper process is to select the Export CC2500 code from the file menu, and select the Simpliciti Settings template, and then overwrite the smartrf_CC2500.h file.

  • Hi,

Thanks for replying me! I'm doing exactly the same thing but hardly see any effects... Basically, what I'm doing is to send file between two pcs wirelessly through simpliciTI. However, there are too many characters missing once I increase the baud rate to 9600bps. So, I try to use many techniques like data whitening, manchester code... But none of them seems working. The best file trasferring speed I can achieve without introducing any characters missing is 4800bps which is obviously too slow... Could you give me any idea how to increase the RF performance? Thank you very much!!

    Sincerely

    Pang Bo
