MSP430 Flash Programming Options

I'm wondering about what options are available for programming the MSP430.

Currently I am just using the debugger in CCS along with the FET430. I need someone who is a non-technical person to be able to program the board that they have, and since they are non-technical, I'd like for them to do it without needing to have their own copy of CCS.

I've seen some information about the BSL, but I am using all of the pins on our microcontroller and all I have left over is the JTAG port.

Does any one know of any other options?

Provided that you have an image for the individual to program into the MSP430, you could use tools from Elprotronic to perform this programming function.

Besides the already mentioned Elprotronic software, which still requires teh FET and some user interaction (unless oyu buy the full, scriptable version), you can use the BSL feature of the MSP. It requires a serial connection (it does not use the JTAG connector), but can be made fully scripted. Just plug the serial cable (or USB/serial converter) into PC and MSP and start the script and the update is done.

Some setup is still required, but on the developers side, before the user gets the firmware update.

Thanks for all of thei replies. I've chosen to use the free version of the Elprotronic programming SW that is compatible with the JTAG.
