Hi,

I want to start a design with the new F552x series MCU. Which compiler should I use - CCE V3.1 (from here http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/msp430f5529.html) or can I use CCS V4.0 (from here http://wiki.msp430.com/index.php/Category:Code_Composer_Studio_v4).

I know development with MSP430F5529 (along with all flash MSPs) will be supported under CCSV4. I am not sure if we will have an update for CCE which will include support, but CCSV4 is a sure thing.

Hi Brandon,

thanks for answering. On the F5529 product page is a link to a (special) CCE version ( http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slac294a ; there is an IAR verison also), so I need to decide which environment will be the best one (CCE V3.x is proven; it is the first oficial CCS V4 release (which seems to have some bugs at the moment regarding MSP430 support).
