Hello,

Can I use a Bootloader application like the SLAA341 with a MSP430F5xx?

I use this tecnical document in a MSP430f1611 and it work very well. But now, I don't know if it will be possible to adapt the hex file.

You can absolutely use the SLAA341 concept for a MSP4305xx. The difference is that the MSP4305xx has a USCI module rather than a USART, so you will have to change the code accordingly for the USCI module.

I normally regard the "Flash Monitor" as unnecessary and a poor substitute for the JTAG debugger. But for MSP430F5xx, this seems to be an excellent idea. I think currently MSP430F5xx chips have lots of problems and some of the problems are not real but consequence of problems in JTAG/debugger.

Hi,

I want to use the SLAA341 with MSP430FG4618, it needs 20-bit addressing, can you point me to the modified code also my main app code is in C and i'm using CCE, so can you also point me to what modifications needs to done to the linker cmd file?
