Saving RAM on MSP430 after power cycle

How fast will the supply voltage fall (when you say the power is cut)? You could use the on-chip ADC10 internal voltage sensor to detect a certain threshold, and write the requested variables to flash.

When power is cut the input voltage will be the same as ground.  The variable I need saved is written every two minutes based on an ADC value, so writing to flash is fine, I guess I'm just not exactly sure how to write a variable to flash.  Any tips?

Hi Fred,

there a some posts in the forum covering write access to flash (regardless of INFO or main flash). Some of them also have c code examples posted (for IAR and CCE toolchain).

Thanks for the input guys.  I already downloaded the sample code you mentioned Brandon and at first glance it looked like it was designed to copy entire segments of flash (maybe for firmware upgrades?) which is more than I need.  I have a few different mcu projects right now and this was just a small piece of one of them so I was hoping to get a quick and easy solution without having to waste too much time doing research.  Oh well, you guys just confirmed I need to hit the books a little more.
