Damaged FW in USB-Debug-Interface?

Hello,

Im begginer in programming&Mcu. I have MSP430 JTAG Interface  MSPFET430UIF with sticked 1.4a and EM430xxx boards. I install into Virtualbox in WinXP newest IAR kickstart 4kB 5.40.7, and while I was downloading code into target it want to upgrade firmware in JTAG. I accept, after few seconds want to unplug an plug FET and press OK, and something was wrong. It failed with error:

Sun Jun 03, 2012 23:44:03: Could not initialize device interface
Sun Jun 03, 2012 23:44:11: Fatal error: Failed to initialize. Check if hardware is connected. Check if drivers are installed. Try to restart the computer. Tools using the parallel port are not supported on Windows Vista

I think that is problem with Virtualbox, because to translate USB device from host Windows to emulated WinXP need to click some procedures . :-/ So I stopped working in emulated operating system and work in Win7 64b.

So, now the FET """working""" but can debbuging in IAR (blinking LED onto EMxxx board) but after plugging into USB in PC, red LED (MODE) into FET doesnt light about 2seconds. Before damaging it was normally lighting 2seconds- initialization process of FET.  Also CCS 4.2.4 doesnt recognize FET adapter what is BIG PROBLEM. After pressing Debug Active Project I have this error:

Error initializing emulator:
No USB FET was found

In WIndows 7 64bit it is detected after plugging into USB as MSP-FET430UIF - CDC (COM7)

(I also have second FET, which firmware was updaded via CCS  and everything works fine. So configuration files in CCS are ok because with second FET, the code is working).

So question is, how to repair firmware in FET adapter which was "upgrading_or_damaging_or_what" in IAR kickstart. I assume that IAR upgrade firmware to v3 and therefore is not working with with CCS 4.xx which is cooperating with v2 firmware ?  Working FET adapter is in Devie manager as VCP so I assume that is need to downgrade FW to v2 ?  In forum I saw problem with unsuccessfull downgrading, how is 100% working process  ?

    SmartRF_Studio_7-1.8.0  want to update FW, so I clik Ok.. everything was Ok... but CCS 4.xx still doesnt work and in Device manager USB FET is as CDC ... ->  SmartRF and CCS5.xx and IAR use firmware v.3 and CCS4.xx use v2 ...... so that the problem 

    // ok .. is this classical changing usbstack in JTAG between v2 and v3 .. works ok :)
