Application UART does not install

I recently purchased the eZ430-F2013 USB development tool and 3 eZ430-RF2500T target boards.  I am trying to use the eZ430 USB tool (6 pin) with the RF2500T target board to run the Wireless Sensor Demo on a Dell Vostro WinXP (SP3)  laptop.  When I plug in the eZ430 USB tool, the Serial Port MSP-FET430UIF (COM4) installs but the MSP430 Application UART does not prompt afterwords to install.  I have tried uninstalling the COM4 port and re-inserting the USB tool with the F2013 and RF2500T attached, but the Application UART does not prompt to install after the Serial Port.  How do I get this to install?

    the emulator included with the eZ430-F2013 doesn't have the application uart feature enabled, which is why you're not being promted to install it.  the application uart is an available feature in the eZ430-RF2500 and -RF2480 tools.
