ULP Advisor support for CC430 series?

Is the CC430 series supported by the ULP Advisor feature of the CCS v5?

    Hi,

    ULP Advisor supports basically all MSP430 devices including CC430 devices.

    Hi,

    Leo is correct, ULP Advisor supports all MSP430 devices as the ULP  rules are applicable to all MSP430 core architecture and common peripherals such as low power modes, timers, or DMA. In that sense, CC430 devices are also supported. Currently the tool does not take into account specific one-off modules such as USB or radio, so we don't have RF-specific rules built into ULP Advisor at the moment. However, we have quite a few code examples as well as application notes that talk about RF and application practices to improve power consumption if that's what you're interested in. Simply go to the TI's product page folder for the device to find all associated application notes & related code examples. 

    On the other hand, if you think of new rules or ways to check for low power usage for CC430 or MSP430 in general, please feel free to let us know your feedback. We always want to further improve and enhance the tool.
