Hello,
I am starting a new thread on this since the existing ones are dated, talk about bug fixes for the TUSB3410, etc.
I know Gregory over at Elprotronic solved this one a while ago, and I have used his products and like them a lot.
But, lately, after upgrading to CCS v5 and IAR v5.50.2, seems the problem with using multiple TI USB FETs on the same computer has gotten worse.
So - first question - there was a bug fix Adrian talked about regarding the TUSB3410 - does anyone know if that has been fixed?
I have tried 'automatic' vs. setting the com ports explicitly, etc. - but seems once the problem begins - it just gets worse. I end up shutting everything down and starting over and basically hoping it doesn't happen again.
Also - the problem for some reason seems to be worse on my Vista-64 machine vs. my W7-64 bit machine. YMMV.
Anyone experiencing something similar?
Thanks,
John
OK Ya'll,
I picked up some of the Elprotronic FPA's from Gregory and those work fine.
Is that the preferred solution?
Regards,
John
Folks,
Just got an update on the situation from our developers:
The TUSB3410 bug was solved with updating the FW for the TUSB. It happened with switching to MSP430.DLLv3 last year.
I don’t see any problem to use multiple UIFs on one PC. The IDE team uses two UIFs on one PC in regression tests.
Regards, Dietmar
