SDO purpose in SWD

what is SDO purpose in SWD

  • Is this question about MSP430? If not, you are in the wrong forum.

  • i m working on cortex-m3 mcu. But I guess SDO serve same purpose on both msp430 & cortex m3

    It's possible that SDO means 'serial data out', which is there on some MSPs too. However, only a few MSPs have this, other have MOSI (master out slave in) signals or SDA/SCL for I2C etc.

    "SWD" is a term that is not used in the MSP world at all. So it's possible that your SDO has nothing to do with serial data transfer at all. Or isn't a signal name.
    This term is used for several offices and officers (state demographic office, strategic debriefing officer) but also stands for shared data object or solenoid driver output.

    I guess, asking in a cortext M3 forum will dig up some more related answers.
