MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found

I am getting this error "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found"

when i debug MSP-EXP430FG4618 (an experimenter's board from TI) via MSP-FET430UIF (a msp430 USB debug interface).

Earlier I was able to debug properly. But last time while loading the code it was taking a lot of time so i clicked "cancel" (though there was written cant be cancelled), I am not getting whats the mistake.

Any help would be appreciated a lot.

PS: I am using Windows 7, CCS v5.

I even tried connecting pin 6.7 to VCC (for a short duration) as was mentioned in FAQ of user manual.

I tried a lot and all the cables and connections are alright.

  • I can load the program to another MSP-EXP430FG4618 kit from my USB debug interface using my PC, so the problem is with my kit, please help me solve it soon.

Probably I have erased the boot strap loader, please let me know hoe to restore it.

  • I am having same problem with MSP FET Emulator tool. So can any body help. When I see the Device manager, I Couldn't able to see MSP-430 FET. This is brand new tool. Is I need to do any thing before flashing it. But Document mentioned that, When CCS is installed, automatically driver will also installed. Then why it is not working in my case. I am getting same USB device not found.
