TI's web site is obtuse on this subject...
Are there any members of the MSP430 family that include USB host capability ? OTG ?
This is needed for an Android peripheral...
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards, Dave

No. Host capability is not supported at all by the hardware, and for OTG, I don't know whether this is possible with the existing controllers, but in any case there is no USB stack support available for this.Dave Nadler said:Are there any members of the MSP430 family that include USB host capability ? Dave,
you can go for the Stellaris MCU:
Thanks Leo, but we need something smaller and less expensive than Stellaris. For example, Microchip PIC24F family has OTG support, so we can create a peripheral that supports Android (USB host) and Windows (USB device).
Our customer is already using MSP430 and was hoping to use it for this application as well...
Thanks,
Best Regards, Dave
