MSP430 Launchpad Debug using CCS5 + Linux

The CCS-on-Linux wiki indicates that support for the MSP430 Launchpad emulation is planned and might be released this year.  Is there any update to the possible release?   An update would be helpful as I decide what to do -- i'd like to move my work off of Wiindows and onto a Ubuntu platform -- but really like the Eclipse/CCS framework.  (Realize that CCS5+Launchpad+Linux is probably not a priority!)
