Socket adapter for programing 32-pin MSP430s

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

Hi,

I want to program a 32-pin MSP430 F2132 (MSP430F2132IRHBR) microcontroller and am looking for a socket adapter for programming it using MSP430 USB-Debug-Interface (MSP-FET 430UIF) . something shown on the link below:

http://www.softbaugh.com/ProductPage.cfm?strPartNo=PA430QFN32

I have had a look at the TI website and they only seem to do sockets for either 28 or 38pin package.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • Usually, the MSP is programmed in-circuit. You place the required JTAG connectors on your PCB and there you go. You don't need to put a full-featured 14 pin header on your PCB, not even a real male header. Depending on MSP, four pinholes and an adapter cable may be sufficient (VCC/GND and SBWSDA/SBWTCK for SBW serial JTAG)
