Tool flow needed for Msp430 software

Hi friends,

Currently I am working with MSP430 controller provided by the TI design contest and facing the prob of programming it. It will be more useful if any body provide the link for the tool flow or any other related ppt or pdf for proceed.

Thanks and regards,

Murali M

What "prob", exactly, are you facing?

How do you expect anyone to help you to resolve that "prob" when you don't even say what the "prob" is ?!

Again; what, exactly, is it that you need?

The "tool flow" for the MSP430 is not really any different from any other microcontroller: Source Files > Compiler/Assembler > Linker > Download > Debug.

TI provides a great deal of training & support material - have you tried studying any of it? The Product Page for the specific chip that you're using would be a good place to start...

which development board are you using?

go to TI website, search for the development board that you are trying to work with.

You will find lot of documents like userguide, application notes etc. These should be more than enough to start with.

for programming your board either you should have the tool like elprotronic + image.

or you can download the free IDEs like IAR workbench, Code composer studios and compile the sample codes available on the TI website compile it and load to your development board.

In case if you are going to play blindly with your development board be carefull about something called blowing fuse.. never even by mistake choose the option of blowing the fuse, it will completely disable your MCU from JTAG access.
