I am using msp430f6736. can anyone help me how to write routine for receiving of character from uart module.

Plz specify the configuration of Hyper terminal. What is the condition for receiving character.?

    From the MSP product folder (click on the hyperlink on your own post - the forum has added the link automatically) you can find lots of sample codes.

    Proper (same) baudrate, no handshake, correct COM port. Adn don't forget to press the 'connect' button. :)

    Also, I suggest downloading the latest free verison of HyperTerminal (I think it is 6.2 personal edition), as it has much less bugs that the stone-age version Microsoft has included in Windows.
