Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, MSP430FG4618, MSP430F5358, MSP430F5359, MSP430F5335
Hi,
I am an engineering student currently in the planning stages of my senior design project. This project is a remote controlled bicycle locking system with an alarm and GPS tracking. Given the following requirements, I was wondering if someone would be able to point me in the right direction of which microcontroller would be best within the MSP430 family. If not, what would be best in any other TI microcontroller family. The remote to lock/unlock the bike would be either RF or Bluetooth. There would be (most likely) electrolytic tilt sensors to set an alarm off if the bike was being moved or tampered with. An on-board accelerometer would be preferred to replace the sensors. The icing on the cake would be GPS capability to track the bike if stolen. I don't know if that would be something I could get on-board or if that is an entirely separate board. I've looked at the MSP430F5529 and MSP430FG4618 so far, however I am relatively new to TI Microcontrollers. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you,
Matt
