Please excuse my ignorance in the area. I am a mechanical engineer by trade and have spent the last while learning about hardware and MCU's. I am making progress but find that I am puzzled with component selection and circuit design. For example if I am using a CR 2032 to power a design what would be the ideal resistors, capacitors etc to use? Is there an ideal current to run a design at with a 2032? When do I need more voltage or current?
I know that each design is on a case by case basis and that reading the data sheet of the components is critical. I am however looking for a good book that covers the topic in detail. Like anything I know there is someone out there with much experience then I have who could teach me a lot. I know there are general rules I could learn. I've been looking at the "Circuit Designer's Companion" by Peter Wilson and was wondering id anyone had any other suggestions. I am also open to website, etc that have good info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take care,
Jon
