MSP430 in MultiSim?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F2274

Hi all,

I'm trying to design a circuit in MultiSim with the ultimate goal of creating a PCB.  I'd like to use the MSP430f2274 in my design and I was wondering if anybody knew how I could go about doing this?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello Ellen,

There are a few options.  You can search the MutiSim site and the third party sites to see if someone has shared their MSP430 library file.  Or you can find an existing component in the Master database, edit it then save it as a new one in your user or corporate database.  Alternatively, you can create the component using the Component Wizard.

The steps in the Wizaed are straight forward.  You then edit the layout and provide the pin description names, numbers or both.  Then you select a footprint from the database and assign the pin numbers.  I'm pretty sure it is outlined in the Help.  I do believe there is also a tutorial for creating a new component.  You will have to search the MultiSim site for that.

    Thanks,
