Microcontroller with temperature sensor

Hi all,

I'm looking for a microcontroller product with temperature sensor module integrated into the chip. I'm wondering if any MSP430 or some other TI microcontroller or microprocessor has such functionality. Not some temperature sensor, but the microcontroller with temperature sensor integrated into one package. If you guys know that please share with me, thanks very much~~

Hello Yu,

On the micro controller overview page http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/microcontroller/overview.page you have your choices of MCU.

Depending on the architecture, you can do a parametric search and select temperature sensor.

All MSPs with ADC10 or ADC12 module have an itnergrated temperature sensor as one of the ADC channels. However, it measures die temperature. Due to the usually low-power consumption of the MSPs, this doesn't make much of a difference but it does (more or less a small, almost constant offset). But when you heat the MSP by pulling a high load on its I/O pins, this difference may be significant.
