    recalibrate the sensor. Doe sthe program you use (which geves the wrong value) use all the calibration information that is present in the chips TLV structure?
    Is it perhaps a free sample chip from the pre-produciton series (XMS430)? In this case, the calibration value smight be missing.

    And keep in mind that the temperature sensor is measurign die temperature, not ambient temperature. Depending on chip package (junction/ambient thermal resistance) and internal power dissipation, the die temperature is higher than the ambient temperature.
