Hi,

I manage to bootstrap several MSP430F2617, MSP430F2616, now i am trying to bootstrap the microcontroller MSP430f2274, this microcontroller has a dedicated TEST PIN.

In the manual SLAU319 shows that the entry sequence to boostrap dependes if the microcontroller has dedicated jtag pins or not.

I probe booiths sequence and it enter in BSL in both cases, it is correct?

The BSL version for MSP430f2274 is 2.02 and the other microcontroller has 2.13 version.

I would like to know if the "BSL Entry Sequence at Shared JTAG Pins" is obsolete or I am missing something.

I need to manage both entry sequences?

As per datasheet, entry sequence is the same, except TEST/TCK is inverted.

Also, there are is some undocumented BSL entry sequence, noted by OCY

I know that, i manage to enter in bootstrap with booth sequences.

I would like to know if it is normal or if i need to perform the two sequence depending on the microcontroller type.

Is an errata of the msp430f2274 or all microcontroller with test pin enter in bootstrap despite the sequence.

Usually, this is resolved on hardware side, by different connection for TEST/TCK, where one signal is inverted. Same entry sequence (on software side) is used in both cases. Part of TI Bootstrap Loader schematic...

You can't make entry sequence depending on MSP430 type, because software don't know nothing about target device before entry sequence and BSL connection is established.

In my case is not resolved by hardware, in my software the configuration file knows the microcontroller.

what caught my attention was that the microcontroller entry in bootstrap despite the sequence.

I would like to know if it always happens or is a errata of this microcontroller.
