Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FG4618
Dear Colleagues,
i have here 2 defective units of an measurement board equipped with MSP430FG4618 Rev G.
Both don't drive the LCD-Display anymore and they are consuming too much current,
independent of being in reset or running state.
The LCD's bias voltages are made outside of the controller to avoid any influence into the
analog part of circuitry.
These voltages are showing an extreme high ripple resulting in insufficient contrast.
Please see the attached PDF.
Replacing the controller by an new one solves the problem.
What could have destroyed the controller chips ?
Kind regards,
Joerg
