A recently-purchased MSP-FET430UIF pod seems to have stopped working. When I plug it in to USB, Device Manager does recognize it and lists it as MSP-FET430UIF on a COM port. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to it in IAR Embedded Workbench (v 5.30). If I use the third-party Elpotronic programming tool to try and upgrade or downgrade the firmware between v2 or v3, I always get an error. The Elpotronic programmer reads back the firmware version as "0..." which looks a little strange, but it does read something back.
Question - is there a way to restore this pod, perhaps by opening and connecting to an internal port, or should I consider it a lost cause and get another on order?
I had thought that something was wrong with my IAR drivers, but everything works fine with the second MSP-FET430UIF that we have had for much longer.
I'm on Windows 7, if that makes a difference.
Thanks,
Mike Marks
