ez430-CHRONOS-915 Lead Time

Hey Does Anyone Know the Lead Time on the Sports Watches, after the ordeal with the eStore error, Im starting to get impatient I want to start hacking away at this watch hopefully before new years.

    Hi Sean,

    eZ430-Chronos watch is in high demand and processing all orders is taking time. Also most of the TI order processing folks may be taking their vacation in the last two weeks of December. You can expect delays in the order processing of the eZ430-Chronos. Earliest you can expect may be 3rd week of Jan. I can understand your excitement. Infact same was true with me couple of days back until I got one recently :-)

    hi Sean - for the latest chronos info,  please check out the chronos wiki (www.ti.com/chronoswiki).  the latest schedule is also on there.  some chronos kits have already started to ship out, but all of the backlog will be cleared by the dates on the wiki.

    Heh - I tried to check my order status, but it looks like TI's e-store secure certificate expired a couple of days ago and nobody even noticed:

     

    "Secure Connection Failed

    ti1.web-system.com uses an invalid security certificate.

    The certificate expired on 12/20/2009 10:45 AM.

    (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)"

    Oooo-kay. It's now December 29th, and the TI eStore Order_Status link is still broken (or was a few minues ago).

     

    I called the TI Customer Service line (800-477-8924, option 2) on December 21st and was told that the product was "being released to shipping tomorrow". I checked again yesterday morning and was told that my order had not yet shipped.

     

    The Chronos Wiki says that the 915MHz package is shipping "Now", but I believe that it has been reporting that for several weeks now.

     

    Has anyone outside TI received a Chronos-915 so far?

    Just to let y'all know that I received one December 31st.

    The Chronos Wiki says "shipping now", but the comments at the bottom of

    the page are more specific and hopeful.

    The TI eStore "Order Status" is again working. Thanks, guys!

    Just wanted to update you on the backorder status for the EZ430-CHRONOS parts. If you placed a paid order through the eStore or PIC before 1/11/2010 for the EZ430-CHRONOS-915 and 1/2/2010 for the EZ430-CHRONOS-868, we have shipped your product. If you have not already received them, they are on the way. Check your order status in the system for an update. As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact the PIC.

    Another update.  Digi-Key has stock of both the 915 and 868 versions and is shipping same day if you order before 8PM CT.
