MS430F5529 LaunchPad broken after mspdebug with --allow-fw-update

Hi there,

It seems I've broken my MS430F5529 LaunchPad and have no idea on how to recover.

I used this website as the guide: http://mspdebug.sourceforge.net/tilib.html

I've compiled the libmsp430.so on my Ubuntu 13.04 and ran mspdebug tilib -d /dev/ttyACM0 which informed me about hardware initialization error and that I should run firmware upgrade. It was a bit puzzling why but eventually I assumed this hint to be clear. So I did it, it took several seconds after which the hardware initialization occurred again (with error code of 35) and now the LaunchPad does not enumerate ttyACMx devices under Linux nor COM ports under Windows. Unfortunately I've lost the terminal history.

It's important tonotice that the MSP430F5529 demo application is running ok (mass storage device enumerated plus HID function working). But still no /dev/ttyACMx :-(

How should I proceed with the recovery? Is it possible at all? What exactly could happen?

Best Regards,

tml
