Hi ,

I read the lots of articles about msp430 gang programer. But I can't find an answer.for my poblems.

Which is;

1) http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau358d/slau358d.pdf documants show that

Programmers serial number can be 8 bytes(between D109-D116 ) Can we increase that range?

2) MCU's Silicon Unique Number is also 8 bytes. Can we use this area or user cant acces thi area?

3) if ı use MSP-GANG.dll to make a application for control  the MSP-GANG Programmer, can ı do those changes?

    Hi Serkan,

    That GetLabel command is a command simply for getting information about the MSP-GANG and about the MSP430 that you are programming, not for setting information. I don't think you can alter the MSP-GANG's own serial number that refers to the programmer itself.

    Are you actually wanting to just be able to program in a unique ID number for each MSP430 that you program? If that is the case, then yes, you can generate one of whatever length that you want if you write code to do it and then program your own unique number for each MSP430 device. There is an example in the DLL examples that come with the MSP-GANG software, that shows writing unique serial numbers. You could simply modify this to create a different length serial number if you'd like.
