Hi,

I am new to embedded. I am planing to do this course 'Embedded systems-Shape The world' at

-https://www.edx.org/course/utaustin/ut-6-01x/embedded-systems-shape-world/1172

In order to do that course I have been asked to buy EK-LM4F120XL or the EK-TM4C123GXL board.

But it is easy for me to get MSP-EXP430G2 launch pad with msp430g2553 controller on it.

My doubt is, will the program written for EK-LM4F120XL or the EK-TM4C123GXL work on msp430g2553 also?

So that it will be easy for me follow the course. Or I will have to modify to make it to work on msp430g2553?

    You need to get the EK-TM4C123GXL kit to take the course. EK-LM4F120XL is obsolete.

    It may be possible to convert that course to use G2553 instead. But that is a horse of a different color.

    No! You can't learn piano play using flute just because it's easier to get it. Msp430 board will not help you to learn ARM. You definitely need board that's required.

    In order to take a cycling course, I have been asked to buy a bicycle. But it's easier for me to get a scooter...
