getting following error in MSP430F5438A using IAR and Contiki Operating system

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5438A

we are using MSp430F5438A micro controller, we are trying to implement the FFT on this board.

we are getting this following error.

Error[e16]: Segment DATA16_Z (size: 0x408f align: 0x1) is too long for segment definition. At least 0x3b3 more bytes needed. The problem occurred while processing the segment placement command "-Z(DATA)DATA16_I,DATA16_Z,DATA16_N,TLS16_I,DATA16_HEAP+_DATA16_HEAP_SIZE=1C00-5BFF", where at the moment of placement the available memory ranges were "CODE:1f23-5bff"

Reserved ranges relevant to this placement:

         1c00-5bff     DATA16_I

Please help me. Thanks in advance

In other words: you define more static variables than you have RAM available on this MSP.
DATA16_Z is the data area where all uninitialized or zero-initialized global variables go. In your project, there are 16.25k of uninitialized global or static variables. The MSP has only 16k total.
(Don't forget there's also space needed for the stack, with all local variables on it, and perhaps the heap, and for the initialized variables - but not const data)

The solution should be obvious: reduce the ram usage of your project.
