Launchpad Interface Connector Recommendation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529, MSP-EXP430F5529LP, BOOST-CCEMADAPTER

Hello,

I am using an MSP430F5529 launchpad for a prototyping project and am having trouble locating a suitable connector to use to interface with the 4 rows of 10-pin output pins.  I need the connector to connect copper wires to the output pins on the MSP430F5529LP and have been unsuccessful in finding a suitable connector for this purpose.  Has anyone had success in building an interface cable for their launchpads?  And if so, could you recommend a connector to use?

Thanks,

Thomas

How closely would it meet your needs if you use the EM Adapter BoosterPack (BOOST-CCEMADAPTER) with the MSP430F5529 USB LaunchPad Evaluation Kit (MSP-EXP430F5529LP).  You could solder wires to the adapter board.

  • Thanks for your reply,

I think this is sort of a roundabout way of accomplishing it, and I have to fit the MSP430F5529LP and several other components in a limited-space box, so nearly doubling the size of the MCU is not preferable.  I was more of looking for something like these connectors, but I am not entirely sure if they will work:

Something simple that can securely attach copper wires to the output pins of the MCU.
