After installing CCS v5.5, MSP430 Launchpad serial output is corrupted

Hello,

   I have about 5 MSP-exp430G2 launchpads that I use for development. They were working fine but after I installed CCS v.5.5, the serial output (via TeraTerm) is corrupted - it only displays unrecognizable characters. I'm using the same known good code that I've used before. I've checked and rechecked the settings, and the only thing that could cause the issue would be the Launchpad debug driver that CCS 5.5 loaded. What should I do?
