Hi,

Can i get an example code of working UART in MSP430F5438A board. I tried several codes but none is working.i just want to store and echo back typed characters using uart.None of the UART examples in MSP430F543xx is working for me.There are four programs based on UART everything is getting build without any error.,bt am getting nothing in teraterm

How did you connect it physically? No code can fix a wrong physical connection.

I checked the board. The serial connection runs on USCI_A1. Most samples are written for USCI_A0. So you need to change the register names (replace the 0 by an 1) and change the port pin configuration (the PxSEL for the USCI modules is different for each module, see device datasheet for details)
